Welcome to BelizeVisas.com

The place that will help you find the information you need to live and work in Belize. If you have questions about immigration processes to Belize you have come the right place.

Realistically, moving anywhere can be difficult. But why have it complicated with the unknown factors of the immigration processes. Come prepared, come with more than the hopes and dreams of a newcomer in paradise. Get your copy of The Document Trail and gain an understanding of the immigration process you may soon be navigating.

A tip you should know is that most people do not require a visa to enter Belize. A visa is an official stamp in your passport prior to entering the country and is obtained through an embassy or consulate. You can arrive at the international airport in Belize City and be granted permission to stay in this country for 1-30 days. That permission is granted in the form of an Entry Permit or Visitor's Permit; not a visa. But at least you are here.

As you stay longer in Belize you will need Permit Extensions or an Employment Permit, correctly called a Temporary Employment Permit (TEP) or even Permanent Residency. The Document Trail helps identify what permit you may need and the application and approval process. It does not provide information in the Qualified Retirement Program (QRP).

Like many others before me I chose to move to Belize. I landed first on the mainland in hopes of following my career in education. The plan took a detour when  I decided to visit the the island of Ambergris Caye and the quaint town of San Pedro. I knew I was home when I first stepped onto the dock.  If you are here  or you've been here, possibly you've had the same feelings.

Staying here however, has its own challenges as the immigration process in a foreign country can be intimidating. Garnering information from others as you wait your turn at the Immigration office, or sharing information over a cup of coffee does not layout the common or identifiable path of what comes next in the immigration process.

The information provided in The Document Trail is the main route for Entry Permits, Working Permits, and Permanent Residency. There may be differences and discrepancies on a case by case basis, but for the most part, the information is current and as accurate as possible.  The Document Trail was created while going through the immigration process myself and followed up with research  and inquiries directly with immigration consultants.

So, what do you do next? It's easy. Go to the download / Purchase page, check out the Samples or purchase your copy of the The Document Trail. It is no longer a mystery of how to live and work in Belize.
